Supervision
I provide individual and group supervision for Registered Oregon LPC Associates, graduate school interns, and consultation for other professionals. Being a supervisor is an incredibly rewarding experience. I chose to pursue training as an LPC supervisor because I was inspired by the skilled and wise mentors in my counseling community. Their guidance shaped my early career, and I wanted to offer the same support and encouragement that new counselors so deeply need.
Over time, I’ve discovered that I continue to learn and grow through my work with associates. As a mindfulness-based therapist, I offer supervision through the lens of Reflective Supervision—a collaborative approach that invites associates into a mindful exploration of their thoughts, beliefs, and internal experiences as they arise in their work with clients. I find this compassionate and self-aware approach deeply aligned with my values.
I also strongly recommend that all new practitioners read and complete the exercises in The Resilient Practitioner. The book is written in a developmental format—from the novice therapist to the seasoned professional—and offers validation for the common experiences of growth in our field. It encourages thoughtful reflection on the internal processes that inform clinical decisions.
As a supervisor, it is especially important to me to prioritize working with BIPOC therapists who are entering our historically and predominantly white field. I offer a reduced supervision rate to members of these communities as part of my commitment to increasing representation and equity in our profession.
